Community & Civil Society

Inclusive and sustainable water resource planning depends on the active participation of communities and civil society organizations, especially in water-scarce and climate-vulnerable areas such as Balochistan.

• Local community-based organizations (CBOs) — Engagement in participatory planning, community water governance structures, and monitoring of local water sources and infrastructure.
• Farmers’ associations and water user groups — Collaboration on irrigation management, equitable water distribution, on-farm water efficiency, and the adoption of climate-smart agricultural practices.
• Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) — Partnerships with NGOs working on water, sanitation, agriculture, rangeland management, and disaster risk reduction to co-design and implement field-level interventions in Balochistan.
